Restrictions have been lifted on the use of identical "URL slugs” when applied to different products.
A URL slug is the text at the end of a URL that identifies a specific page on a website, such as
this-is-the-slug
in example[dot]com[slash]this-is-the-slug. It is now possible to apply the same slug to several associated fundraising pages as long as those pages were built using different products. For example (
this is for example only; it does not point to a real page)
, https://secure.givelively.org/donate/ny-pet-foundation (Core Profile) will work alongside:
  • a Campaign Page with the same name as the nonprofit and a URL slug of /donate/ny-pet-foundation/ny-pet-foundation
  • an Event Ticketing page with the same name as the nonprofit and a URL slug of /event/ny-pet-foundation/ny-pet-foundation
  • a Peer-to-Peer Fundraising pages with the same name as the nonprofit and a URL slug of /donate/ny-pet-foundation/ny-pet-foundation/ny-pet-foundation
  • a Team Fundraising page with the same name as the nonprofit and a URL slug of /teams/ny-pet-foundation/ny-pet-foundation/ny-pet-foundation.
