Default of tips with the processing fees

We do not want our donors to see the processing fees and tips combined when making a donation. I do know they can click around and remove the tip, but it is not clear at all.
We have had complaints from our donors on the high fees. Gively Lively is basically charging our donors for the platform. I would rather have the non profits pay for the service and not the donors. This has made Gively Lively a very unattractive platform. Please give the option of not defaulting the tip.

Hoping to add more visibility to this. We've already received lots of feedback from donors who are upset about the tip feature. Donors move quickly when making a donation and often don't read the fine print - it feels like the tip feature is taking advantage of that.
We will likely start looking at other donation forms if this feature isn't addressed.

I cannot agree more, and feel our donors are being tricked into giving to Give Lively. Worst yet is that money sent to Give Lively isn't tax-deductible. We've added a note to our donation page about this very confusing change but donors likely aren't reading it because very large tips are still being given. This feels like donor exploitation and fraud. Please separate the Give Lively tips from the ability to cover our transaction fees, or eliminate both options altogether. This is making us seriously consider switching platforms because of the reputational harm done by fleecing our donors.

We agree with Lisa wholeheartedly. We also received similar critical feedback from our long-time donors. We've just launched our Give Lively based donation page days ago, and the unexpected combination of processing fees and tips in one toggle is not an intuitive donor experience. This is disappointing after working so hard to switch our platforms and having it impact our relaunch. Please give the option of not defaulting the tip and having them as separate options for card fees and platform support.
